Order Information
for whole and half beef
We take our cows to Winchester Meat Locker in Winchester, Kansas for butchering so you will pick it up from there when it is cut, wrapped and frozen.
Prices
The butcher fee for a cow is $48.00 for whole and $24.00 for a half. Additionally, there is 50 cent/lb processing fee for the hanging weight. In case you are not familiar with it, the hanging weight is after the animal is killed, skinned and head removed.
Our beef rates per pound are additional.
Options
One of the advantages of buying by half or whole beef is that you call the butcher and tell them how you want it cut; it is completely your choice. You can have the steaks cut the thickness you desire, order more hamburger instead of some cuts, and custom order. The butcher will tell you what cuts come off a half beef and help you with the decision process.
